On the verge of going full steam.
Still waiting for godaddy.com to activate the servers where this blog is hosted.. as such my full public online launch is held in suspended animation for the time being.
I can’t wait.. This should be fun.

I’ve started reading a book lent to me by Mikki (a Christian officemate and new friend I made in WILD — more about it later) – it’s The Winning Attitude by John Maxwell. After 2 chapters, so far so good. Maxwell writes in a style reminiscent of Max Lucado – fresh, conversational, but insightful. I’ll post my thoughts and gleanings from this book as soon as I’m done reading it. ![]()

WILD has officially invaded my corporate and personal consciousness. Since I started joining it 3 weeks ago, I have among other things started songwriting again (yep! after 2 years of being devoid of song.. hehe, I finally completed one that I started writing a long time ago.. and seems like the tunesmith in me wants to further write some more as I’m about to burst in song after last week’s WILD! nice.. )
Furthermore, I have discovered that one thing that is starting to drive me nuts is my being ‘multichotomous’ — that is, having a multifarious personality and living them out as separately characterized entities in the office, in church, at home, and in private. This official online journal is a means by which I am trying to unify all the different Allans you know out there. The people at WILD have effortlessly reminded me of one thing: that I am first and foremost, a Christian. Not a deputy operations director at IBM who happens to be a Christian, but fundamentally a Christian who happens to be a deputy operations director at IBM.
So, goodbye to my private blog (for now, hehe).

Mario’s Restaurant (Baguio)
Despite having a branch in Manila, Mario's Restaurant Baguio still commanded our time and attention during our recent trip up north. Setting. The place looked and felt like a comfortable lounge with eclectic interiors. The lighting was dim-to-warm, getting the natural ...

Breakfast at Café by the Ruins (Baguio)
Our next restaurant stop in Baguio is what is probably its most unique. Café by the Ruins' distinctive name is matched by a quirky-artistic vibe and a delicious menu featuring locally-grown ingredients. Setting. Built upon the war 'ruins' of a former ...

I am a big Thai-food lover. It is one of my favorite cuisines in the world, and I'm always out to take a shot at the local Thai establishments. The relatively new Thai Patio at posh Greenbelt 5 is one of the latest ones I've tried — and here's my review.…
