Want-to-do’s 12/18/07

17 December 2007 6 Comments

Candy (our big boss) has this tracker list that she updates every month for everyone in the LT – it’s called the “10 Things” — 10 activities or actions each of us in the lead team would like to accomplish in a given span of time. We don’t share the details of the list, just the running progress every month. This is done to pressure everybody into some semblance of work-life balance. Swell idea, hehe.

Since I joined the LT towards the middle of the year, I have a prorated target for this year – only 4. And I’m proud to say that I have accomplished all of them! 4/4 = 100%! hehe.. only Kathy Reyes can rival that record

My 2007 list included (I am disclosing this publicly for the first time):
1. Attend the Hillsong Conference in Sydney Australia — accomplished July 2007

2. Start a healthy lifestyle — started doing this in August, and still
doing good now. I now eat right (most of the time, haha) and exercise
regularly. There are days though that I feel soooooo lazy to exercise
already (as Ailenne knows haha), but somehow I managed to still put up
with it regularly.

3. Splitting into two relatively more manageable/easy-to-accomplish tasks:
3a. Play keyboards in a big venue — accomplished this in Taipei last September 2007, at the Taiwan Conference
3b. Take a no-work-disturbance break — accomplished this in Tagaytay (All
Saint’s Day weekend) and Mactan Cebu (Thanksgiving weekend)

4. Again, splitting into two relatively more manageable/easy-to-accomplish tasks:
4a. Play the church organ in a wedding (Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March) – accomplished last December 9, 2007 for Bro Chien’s wedding
4b. Have a private dinner at a posh restaurant – did this a couple of times already this year, the last of which was in Li Li.

I’ve also done a couple of other stuff outside of the list above, like starting this public blog for one. It’s a huge step for me, a major effort. So please be patient with me on this. I’ve also started songwriting again, and have completed at least one or two songs in the past 3 weeks. Plus, I have managed to join Robby at CCF just last Sunday.

Seeing that I have exhausted and finished everything I set out to do in the 07 list, I am planning to put up a new personal list for the ‘07 holidays through to first quarter ‘08. A few things that come to mind (but not yet final) are as such:
1. buy a new toy – most likely a new celfone, mid-to-pro range digital camera (am I ready for a DSLR? hehe), the Asus EeePC, a Breitling watch, or all of the above! (harhar).
2. move out of Eastwood and into Ortigas (this will most likely happen anyway, hehehe)
3. hire a trainer and hit the gym
4. fire somebody

Haha LOL! Just kidding on #4. Although past trends may seem to predict I’m on track.. still, joke lang yon.

Good idea! I should create a list for myself too (your inputs are welcome).

And I hope you’d consider sharing your tracks eventually…you need to get to 10 must-do’s right?

Yeah create your own list and publish it online rin.. no need to hit 10 naman, the LT list lang ang 10.

Sharing tracks, maybe maybe.. in the future perhaps. Watch out for it :)

I have daily/weekly lists too and they’re very simple ones of course.

Wedding march? hehe.. went well, at least I did not distract anyone. All eyes were on the entourage and the bride anyway :)
