In-Yo again!
I seldom willfully go back to an already-visited resto, but I had to make an exception for In-Yo Fusion Cuisine — which is my current favorite place. The other day, I had dinner with a bunch of officemates there and our tummies were more than pleased.
Here are snaps of the food we had.

The now-classic Duet of Oysters — Oyster Rockefeller topped with red caviar (ebiko) and Wasabi fried oyster with citrus mayo dressing. Yummy.

The day’s specials are written on a chalkboard.

Oven baked sushi prawn roll served with salad greens topped with caviar. Tastes like a sophisticated version of the common Japanese siomai. The creamy dressing on top goes very well with the nori wrapper.

In-Yo iced tea, with a strong citrus flavor and a frozen mango on top.

The Trilogy of Foie Gras: Pan seared with caramelized Maui onions, poached with truffled potato,
torchon with cranberry jelly, served with mixed greens and seasonal
fruits in honey ponzu dressing.

My order: Sautéed Seafood Medley with Wasabi Coconut Sauce — sautéed prawns, squid, tuna, salmon and Manila clams drizzled with
wasabi & coconut cream sauce served with steamed Japanese rice. I never imagined how wasabi and coconut would taste together, but this dish proved that it can be superb. ![]()

Liza and Genie both ordered the Honey Glazed Grilled Salmon — with sweet citrus miso served with light wasabi mashed potato, grilled asparagus and demi dried tomato. I had a bite and found liked it — the salmon didn’t have any fishy aftertaste (which is my frustration when cooking it), and the honey glaze wasn’t overbearing. Good for the health-conscious eater.

US Hanging Tender Steak, with red wine sauce served with buttered seasonal vegetables and pumpkin risotto.

Our dinner!

Desserts time.. I ordered the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes, which was not on the regular menu. It was just okay, but not as good as the one I had at Florabel.

Chocolate! Chocolate! Cake - Valhrona chocolate pudding filled molten chocolate truffle, served with tropical fruits. I had a bite of this and while I’m not a big chocolate fan, I still found it really good. We didn’t know what to do with the milk on the glass though (hehe!)

Vanilla Bean-infused Pannacotta with fresh vanilla bean, served with seasonal fruits. Genie’s order, which I did not get to taste.

My favorite — Mango Pavlova topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh mango. ![]()

I have been planning to go to In-Yo for the looooooongest time but I never got doing it. My friends have been bugging me to go visit the place. They, too, have very good reviews about the restaurant. Your photos of their dishes are even more convincing me to check it out. soon! soon! soon!
