what I’m proud of

21 January 2009 No Comment

A lot of thoughts have been swirling in my head lately, as I get to learn stuff in my new assignment and from my readings.

One key point I picked up in all this is the importance of taking pride in our uniqueness, of being self-affirmed in who we are — in all aspects.

I did a quick self-check and felt good about many things that, in so many ways, defines my totality. Here are the things I must say I’m proud of:

* my Fil-Chi upbringing and heritage: the best of both worlds.

* my family: complicated, yes, but complementing.. and complete.

* my circle of friends: fun and fabulous!

* my career: eventful, incredible, and ultimately rewarding.

* my equally active left and right brains.

* my faith. “..but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me..” – Jer 9.24

I also noticed, that none of these that I’ve listed can be bought with money.
