Top 5 Best Bang-for-the-Buck Budget Restaurants featured on the site
While most of the restaurants I’ve featured thus far on the site have prices ranging on P1000+ upwards per person, there are quite a few that stand out in offering a great dining experience without obliterating our paychecks. Here are the top 5 best bang-for-the-buck budget restos in my book.
5. Zao (G/F Eastwood CityWalk 2): Good value for money.. for about P800/person you should have more than enough good Zao stuff to fill you up and make you smile.

4. Portico 1771 (G/F Serendra): For a relatively fine-dining establishment, price range is surprisingly at the midrange (P700-P800 for a full course per person). I was pleasantly surprised when I called for bill out. I had more palatable satisfaction per peso here than in some other recent restos I’ve been to.
<<allanko.net note: as of June 2009, Portico 1771 is now closed and replaced with a branch of Sentro 1771>>

3. Freska (Katipunan): At around P600 per person, this is a place where you come for the freshness of its seafood, the authenticity of its Ilonggo fare, and the relatively cheap prices. It has none of the frills and pretentious swank that some other Filipino cuisine restos try so hard to put on.

2. Seoul Barbecue (C5, Libis): You don’t come to Seoul Barbecue for fine-dining fuss and all that — you come for the authentic and delicious Korean cuisine. At around P400 per head, this is by far one of the best places to get more bang for your buck.

1. Petra & Pilar (G/F Jaka Center, Makati): At around P350 per person, this is the dirt cheapest of all the restos I’ve featured thus far; and for this kind of food quality.
