Outback Steakhouse (C5, Libis)
Outback Steakhouse is an old favorite, and one that I have many fond memories of. I figured there’s no need for a lengthy review and description for this place — c’mon, who hasn’t been to Outback? ![]()
Here are some shots of what I had for dinner there recently.

True.

Honey Wheat Bushman Bread

Kiwi Shake (P165)

Typhoon Bloom (P310) — Hand-cut fresh onion strings dusted with Outback seasonings, stackedand fried to a crisp crunch. With mayonnaise horseradish sauce.

Fish N’ Chips (P595) — Seasoned, battered and fried the traditional way. Served with tartar sauce, coleslaw and Aussie chips

Chicken on the Barbie (P395) — Three juicy chicken breasts seasoned and grilled over open flame andbasted with a homemade BBQ sauce. Served over rice pilaf and a freshvegetable medley

9 oz Angus Prime Rib (P1450). Was a tad disappointed with the rubbery texture; the beef didn’t taste as fresh and juicy. Not bad overall, but nothing spectacular either.

Soup that came with the steak

Garlic Citrus Porkchops (P500) — Two chops marinated in fresh garlic and citrus soy sauce. Served with rice pilaf and fresh steamed veggies.

Chocolate Thunder from Down Under (P310) — the highlight of the night! Glad we heeded the coaster’s advice and left room for dessert.
Service: Felt a bit harried, but good nonetheless. Price: ~P800-1000 per head
Overall Verdict: Mostly good family fare in a relaxed setting, but the steak ain’t so nice (considering this is a ’steakhouse’).
