My Salcedo Market Weekends
I always take the trip to the weekend Salcedo Market whenever I wake up early enough to get my goodies. Over the course of several Saturdays, I’ve amassed a couple of frequently-visited stalls that offer stuff I think I can’t buy retail elsewhere.
Here are some pics from a recent visit when I brought my camera.

Walkway from the main entrance point

Wholly Cow’s Lechon Baka — a roast cow is on every week!

One of my favorites: My Goodness Foods that Nourish. Love their Balabars, Gopalabars and peanut butter cookies.

The retail stall of La Cocina de Tita Moning

I love their chicken relleno / galantina and bread pudding. Check out the restaurant review here.

I found a couple of interesting-looking squashes or squash-like gourds — no idea what they’re called

Fruit stalls

Kefir Probiotics

One of my favorite desserts — baklava! The hazelnut and pistachio varieties are yummy

I love salcedo saturday market… and yes Baklava rocks!!!

@wander girl, Try the Balabars — not as healthy (bec of the cocoa) but tastier

Allan!
Hehehe…I love this post…I used to go here often with friends and ended up with a huge stash of goodies. I miss this place
I went to a weekend market close to a suburb I live in and it wasn’t as good as the variety in Salcedo.

Breakfast at Café by the Ruins (Baguio)
